Maple Bacon Poutine

 

Maple Sugar Bacon, chopped (recipe on our website, link is embedded)

1 package Frozen Steak Fries

6 Green Onions, chopped

2 Cloves of Garlic, minced

1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

1 Tbsp Maple Syrup

1 Tbsp Flour

2 1/2 Cups Chicken Broth

1/2 Package of Cheese Curds

1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

2 Tbsp Maple Sugar

 

Cook steak fries according to the directions on the package. 

 

Cook the maple sugar bacon. Remove the bacon, but save the grease.

 

In the bacon grease add half of the chopped green onions and all of the garlic and saute.

Add flour to the pan and whisk, slowly adding the chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup while whisking.

 

Once the fries are cooked, place on an oven safe dish. Add cheese curds and mozzarella. Broil until the cheese is melted. 

 

Sprinkle chopped bacon, remaining greens onions and the gravy mixture on top of the steak fries and cheese. Sprinkle with maple sugar. Boom!
