Maple Berry Chia Seed Jam

 

4 Cups Frozen Berries

1/2 Cup Chia Seeds

1/4 Cup Maple Syrup

Zest and Juice from 1 Lemon

 

Add the frozen berries, lemon juice, and zest to a small pot on low heat. Leave the heat on for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries are fully defrosted and soft.

Smash the berries with the bottom of a fork, then stir in the maple syrup.

Remove from the heat, add the chia seeds and, and mix well. Let it sit on the counter or the fridge until the jam has thickened and set.

Once it's cooled it's ready to eat! Perfect for topping a cheesecake, toast or yogurt! Enjoy!
