3 Tbsp Butter
2 1/4 Cups Milk
3 Cups of Flour
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp Maple Sugar
1 tsp yeast
3-4 Cups Additional Flour
Additional Maple Sugar
In a saucepan heat the butter and milk together until it reaches 118F.
Use a mixer to combine dry ingredients, not including the additional flour. Pour in the warm milk mixture and mix well. Gradually add the additional flour. Mix until it is the consistency of bread dough. Put into a greased bowl, cover and let rise.
Once the dough has doubled in size punch it down, then split it in half. (This recipe makes 2 loaves). Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Liberally sprinkle it with maple sugar and cinnamon. Roll up the dough tightly and put it in greased bread pans. Cover and let rise.
Preheat oven to 350F. Then bake breads for 32 minutes.
Serve with Maple Cream and enjoy!
