Spicy Maple Turkey Leg

 

Brine:

1/2 Cup Salt

2 Tbsp Garlic Powder

1/2 Cup Grade A Robust Syrup

1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flake

Dash of Hot Sauce

4 Turkey Legs

Water, enough to cover

 

 

Dry Rub:

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp smoked paprika

2 tsp chili powder

2 tsp cayenne powder

2 Tbsp Maple Sugar

 

Brine turkey legs for 25 hours.

 

Preheat oven to 375F. 

Rinse and pat the turkey legs dry with a paper towel

Coat the turkey legs with olive oil, then rub with dry rub.

 

Place turkey legs in a roasting pan. Roast until the internal temperature is 165F, turning occasionally. (At least one hour, but it depends on the size of the legs.)
